@Voice Aloud Reader читает вслух текст из других Android-приложений, например: веб-страницы, новостные статьи, длинные электронные письма, SMS, PDF, EPUB, MOBI, PRC, AZW, FB2 и т.д.

ВАЖНОЕ ЗАМЕЧАНИЕ: Для работы приложения необходимо, чтобы на вашем устройстве был установлен движок-синтезатор речи Text-To-Speech и голоса к нему. Если этих компонентов у вас пока нет, установите Google TTS, Acapela, Ivona или SVOX TTS из Play Store. При желании можно использовать сразу несколько голосов.

Функциональные возможности:

О РАЗРЕШЕНИЯХ:

Для работы приложению требуется полный доступ в Интернет, так как функция "Отправить" во всех опробованных нами веб-браузерах и новостных приложениях передаёт только URL-адреса (http://что-то-там...), а не полный текст статей. Поэтому, чтобы прочитать статью вслух или сохранить для чтения в дальнейшем, @Voice приходится загружать её из Интернета. Избежать соединения с Интернетом можно только с помощью копирования текста из какого-либо приложения и вставки его в @Voice, либо путём сохранения всего текста в файл и последующего открытия этого файла в @Voice, но это не слишком удобно.

Для начала, после установки, вам предстоит определиться, каким именно синтезатором вы будете пользоваться. Подойдет ли вам тот, что стоит у вас по умолчанию или, может быть, вам будет удобно перейти на сайт разработчика - www.hyperionics.com, чтобы скачать какой-нибудь другой. Далее синтезатор зачитает вам краткий туториал того, как приложение вообще работает.

По настоящему ошеломляют всяческие разнообразные настройки этого приложения, ковыряться в которых можно, наверно, сутки: паузы в предложениях и абзацах, звук гонга между статьями, фоновая музыка, виджет на экране блокировки, настройка папок для приложения и т.д., т.д., т.д.!.. Дизайн приложения (как и сайт разработчика) выглядит, мягко говоря, немного устаревшим, но, надо отдать должное, работает все стабильно и с заявленными функциями приложение справляется на отлично. Voice Aloud Reader - прекрасно реализованная система для чтения текста на Андроид.
